The BGCI Research Lab takes an interdisciplinary approach to research and knowledge exchange across the ocean and marine innovation value chain. We leverage global blue economy best practices and Canada’s vast research and innovation capabilities to assist emerging markets and developing economies in achieving environmentally responsible, commercially profitable, and socially acceptable outcomes across their ocean systems.

In partnership with Canadian and international partners, the Lab’s multidisciplinary team captures, analyzes, tracks, and reports on key metrics in the ocean economy.
